India Day by Day Itinerary: (This itinerary is subject to change)



Day 01: October 23: Fly to New Delhi

Today you will catch a flight to Chicago and connect to your international flight to New Delhi.

Day 02: October 24: Arrive - Delhi India
Evening arrival in to New Delhi and transfer to your five star hotel.

Day 03: October 25: Delhi – Kathmandu
Full day city tour of Old that includes: Jama Masjid mosque, Raj Ghat (where Mahatama Gandhi was cremated) and picturesque view of the Old Fort. In the afternoon we will visit some significant sights; India Gate, the President's House, Emperor Humayun's Tomb and the Qutab Minar. Late this afternoon we will fly to Katmandu in Nepal.

Day 04: October 26: Kathmandu
You will visit Pashupati Nath Temple, the holiest Hindu Temple in Nepal. The temple is situated on the bank of the Bagmati River, which is considered as holy as the Ganges. The Boudha nath Stupa, the biggest stupa in the world is one of the World Heritage Sites in Kathmandu Valley. We will also visit the city of Bhaktapur and it’s intricate woodcarving houses and temples. Overnight Kathmandu.

Day 05: October 27: Kathmandu
We have planed a once in a life time treat with our flight this morning over Mt. Everest. The afternoon will be spent visiting another medieval Malla principality near Kathmandu. The Malla Palace is adorned with intricate woodcarvings. You will also visit a 14th Century Buddhist Monastery, Hiranyavarna Mahavihar (the Golden Temple).


Day 06: October 28: Kathmandu – Varanasi
The morning will be spent visitng Swayambhunah Stupa and Kathmandu Durbar Square. The Kathmandu Durbar Square is one of the seven world Heritage Sites of Kathmandu Valley. This afternoon we will fly to Varanasi and the Ganges River. This evening we will attend “Aarti Ceneremony”, (Religious Prayer) on the bank of the River Ganges.

Day 07: October 29: Varanasi

This morning we will take a boat ride on the river ganges. You will witness the fascinating early jmorning rituals being performed by Hindu devotees along the river bank which includes the cremation Ghats. Our days touring will then take us to Sarnath and to the Chowkandi and Dhamek Stupas, these ruins are 9th and 10th Century monasteries and temples. We will also have a tour of Varanasi.

Day 08: October 30: Varanasi – Agra
later this morning we will board our flight to Agra. After arrival we will then take the approximate 4 hour drive to Agra. Overnight Agra.

Day 09: October 31: Agra
We will start our day with a visit of Itimad-Ud-Daulah Tomb, we will then visit the Agra For, which has been the seat of Mughal rulers. Late afternoon near sunset we will visit the famous Taj Mahal, regarded as one of the Wonders of the World

Day 10: November 1: Agra – Ghost City - Samode
This morning early we will start our drive to Samode and to the Samode Palace. We visit Fatehpur Sikri (the Ghost City) on our way. Built by Emperor Akbar in 1569 and abandoned after 15 years due to scarcity of water. By mid afternoon we will arrive to the little village of Samode with its fantastic Samode Palace sitting on a hill overlooking the village.

Day 11: November 2: Agra – Jaipur - Jodhpur
After a short drive this morning we will reach Jaipur. You tour will includes the Amber Fort. We will climb to the Amber Fort by Elphant. At the Amber Fort we will visit Sheesh Mahal, Ganesh Pol, Shila Devi Temple, Kesar Kyari Bagh. The afternoon tour to the Pink City will includes Hawa Mahal: the Palace of Winds, Jantar Mantar: the observatory of stone and the City Palace & the Museum which contains the original collection of the Maharajas of Jaipur. Early this evening we will travel by train to Jodhpur.

Day 12: November 3: Jodhpur
This morning we will enjoy one of the best Forts in India, the massive Meherangarh Fort, a ymbol of the glorious history of the Maharajas of Marwar Kingdom. We will also visit the Jaswant Thada, a white marble memorial built by Sardar Singh in 1899 in memory of Maharaja Jaswant Singh II

Day 13: November 4: Jodhpur – Jain Temples - Ranakpur
This morning we will drive into the mountains to visit the Jain Temples. The ornate carvings are breathtaking. After our visit we will overnight in Ranakpur in mountain loges near the Temples.

Day 14: November 5: Ranakpur – Udaipur – Lake Palace Hotel
We will continue on to Udaipur (considered one of the 10 most beautiful cities in the world). We will enjoy a city tour, a boat ride and then reach one of the hightlights of the tour as we will enjoy a free afternoon to explore the famous Taj Lake Palace hotel located in the middle of the lake. It has been featured in National Geographic many times and was part of a James Bond movie. You will have time lax and enjoy this exclusive, hard to get into luxury hotel.

Day 15: November 6: Udaipur - Delhi
you will have the morning to enjoy your luxury hotel located in the middle of the lake. This afternoon we will fly from Udaipur back to Delhi. We will finish any touring left unfinished in Delhi.

Day 16: November 7: Fly Home
You will take an early morning flight from Delhi back to the US and home. You will arrive all the way home on November 7.
